Farmhouse Table

Funky Junk Interiors in having a fun Farmhouse Table Party.  I love farmhouse tables of all kinds and I love the one I have.  Be sure to visit and see all the other wonderful tables.

I found this table and chairs at a consignment store about 15 yrs ago for the fabulous price of $450.  That's for the table and 6 chairs.  It looked brand new and it is so heavy.

I didn't realize until I got it home that it was Ethan Allen.  I think I got a steal.

One of the things that sold me on the table was the trestle base.  Big and substantial.

The turned rope design legs are absolutely stunning.  I love the beautiful wood grain that shows with each turn.

The top is a plank style with heavy distressing in some areas.

The chairs are a farmhouse windsor style chair, and they are also very heavy and substantial.

This table is so versatile it could be used anywhere, and it has a secret - - - -

The top folds in half and slides over the trestle base to become a library table.  Isn't that the greatest idea.

Throw a rooster and a burlap runner on it and you have "Frenchy Farmhouse".

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

Old English

As I was cleaning house and moving a few things around, I pulled these candlesticks out and wanted to use them on the dining table.  As I looked at them, they really looked a little dull.

The base shows how dry the wood is and most of the lustre is gone from them.

I thought they needed more than just a little polish, so out came one of my favorite things.  Old English scratch cover oil.

A little on a soft cloth, rubbed all over and into the wood really well, then buffed off makes such a difference to restore the color and lustre of anything.

On the left is the before and on the right the after.  Big difference.  The color and grain of the wood is so much more enhanced.  Love this stuff.

Now they look perfect for the table.  (See that wood against the wall)

It's still all the guitar making parts that my son and grandson are working on.  What's a girl to do, I need to stash it somewhere when they're not here using the tools.  lol

A mix of faux flowers of all kinds makes a happy arrangement.

If you have something that needs a little attention, I highly recommend the Old English Oil.  It comes in dark and natural.  Either one is wonderful to feed your wood.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

Don't You Just Love Presents!!!

I am so spoiled by my children, and I definitely LOVE it.  My daughter saw a couple of things that she thought I would like, so she gave me an "I Love You" gift.  Fun, fun, fun.

Just look how cute this little egg holder is.

Such a cute little Hen on the top.  Love the pretty colors and details.

Great rusty patina with cute scalloped base.  Brown, white and speckled eggs.

     Cute, cute, cute!!!

She also gave me this little bucket.  Now you know I would love this.

     Rooster and Hen

     and little chicks too.

I can't wait to do a vignette using these fun pieces. Can you guess what you'll see for the next Table Top Tuesday?

A Few Wedding Pics

My grandson was married last Friday and I just had to show you the beautiful decorations for the reception.
They made all the chair covers and did all of the table decor.  I got a sneak peek before the ceremony.  I thought everything was stunning.

Sorry for the sun glare.  Her dress was designed to completely cover her wheelchair, and it was exquisite.  Every inch is covered with gorgeous lace rosettes.

Being introduced as Mr. and Mrs.

My son, (father of the groom).  As a single dad, he raised a very special young man.

The bride's parents and my son giving a toast.  I love all the thrifted frames they used for the backdrop for the head table, and their initials.

My precious grandson and my special new granddaughter.

Thanks for letting me share.  I'm such a proud grandma.

62nd Table Top Tuesday

Welcome to the 62nd Table Top Tuesday.  I hope you all had a very Blessed Easter with family and friends.

Today I am taking you on a tour of my daughter's backyard and some revamping they have been doing.

They just recently had their BBQ rebuilt and I love how fabulous it turned out.  They have food drawers and a cooler on the backside.  The top is done in travertine and it is stunning.  The contractor also installed undercounter lights all around the outside, so at night it has the most amazing glow.

They also decided to replace some of their patio furniture.  She found this fabulous table.  Love the chunky base and top and there are also extension leaves on the ends so it will easily seat 12.  The rug has leaves with tones of green and brown.

Parsons chairs covered in outdoor fabric are so comfortable and look so elegant.

She repainted her bakers rack in ORB and we had a fun play day decorating it.  Nothing new, we just shopped both our stashes for things that might work.

She used a mix of rustic, white and silver.  This will be such a great piece to decorate for all her entertaining.

She was having a buffet BBQ for a few friends, so she fixed the basket with plates, napkins and silverware that she can just sit on the table and everyone can grab their own tablesettings.

Saturday she hosted a birthday party for my grandsons, so the table is set for another BBQ.

Such beautiful weather, it was wonderful to be able to eat outside.

I think her dining area turned out so pretty..  They are working on the livingroom side of the patio.  I can't wait to show you when it is all done.  It is looking fabulous so far.

I am so looking forward to seeing what you have all been up to.  It is always amazing.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always enjoy your visits.
