Happy New Year!!!!!

    Happy New Year Everyone!!

The island is set to wish you all a Wonderful New Year filled with all of God's Blessings.

The bottler carrier is filled with special wines just for you.

My glass is raised in a special toast to thank you for your friendship throughout this last year.  You've prayed with me, cried with me, laughed a ton, always encouraged and most of all been there.

A very sincere Thank You.  I've learned that some of the most cherished friends are ones that I've never met, but hold dear in my heart.

God Bless to All.  See you next year.

Trees Down - Treasures- Rearranging

The tree is down and all the decorations are packed away.  Now the process of putting the house back together.  Time to have fun with some new treasures.

Don't you love FREE!!!  My daughter has been redoing her living room and she no longer had a place for this gorgeous little chest, so she gave it to me.  Love it.

Such beautiful burl wood, and the legs are so gracefully turned.  I think the grey accent color on the leg detail is so pretty.  Super storage also.

Last week I found this pretty cache pot at GW for $2.99.

I really enjoy rearranging things after all the Christmas is put away, so of course I had to play with my new little chest and cache pot.

I think this little chest is perfect beside the chair and some ivy in the cache pot works great for now.  Add in a candle and an antique dish and I'm done.  Nice and simple.

Every time I go to the grocery store, of course I have to stop by GW just in case. lol  I found these 4 salad plates.  Green border with red checks, and the farm animals are so cute.  They were 99c each.

White dinnerware always catches my eye, and this platter is so pretty.  It was $2.99.

The detail around the edge is just gorgeous.  Love the flowers.

Books are always on my list of things to find, and these decorating books were $1 each.

So, have you been thrifting since Christmas.  I think I hit the jackpot.  Now I am having fun reading my new books and redoing all the table vignettes.  Love to play. lol

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

2010 Projects in Review

Seems like it was a really busy year last year, but not really any earth shaking projects.  I refinished some patio furniture, and redid the front porch chairs and accessories, then a few things inside.

Most of my projects involved sewing.  I made a gazillion pillows, or it seemed that way.  These are for the winter.

These were some for the summer.

The breakfast table had seen better days after 38 years, 3 children and 12 grandchildren.  Time to refinish. Outside for a good sanding.

Now it is as good as new.

    A $1 lamp got a new life.

Now it looks perfect in the living room.

The entertainment center for a little facelift also.  The dark wood in the back of the bookcases didn't show off my "stuff".

I put some white beadboard in the backs of the shelves, and it gave it a whole new life.

Add to that about a million (lol) table top displays and a few tablescapes and that kept me a busy girl.

45th Table Top Tuesday-Anything Goes

Welcome to the 45th Table Top Tuesday.  This week we are sharing anything we want to.  It can be a vignette, table top or a Christmas present.  Just show us anything you would like to share.

Now this is not the worst chandy that I have ever seen, however it really is a builder basic and doesn't do much to add to the decorative ambiance of the breakfast room.   Actually this is the one the builder put in the dining room.  The previous one here was really sad.

I have looked for quite some time to find one that I really liked, and then finally saw this one.  Very reasonably priced and the perfect style.  I put it on my Christmas wish list and my son surprised me with it.  Don't you just love it!!!!!!

Pretty turned wood column painted a spicy mustard color and six lights.

I love the little check flowered shades too.

Yes, I know, I am REALLY spoiled.  Isn't it fun!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to see what you have to share this week.  I hope you all had a very Blessed Christmas.

What Did Santa Bring You?

I hope you all had a very Blessed and Merry Christmas.  We were so blessed to spend time with family and friends and to share great food and exchange gifts of love.

For Table Top Tuesday this week let's have an Anything Goes party.  Show us a vignette, a gift or anything you want to share.  Let's just have some fun.

My daughter gave me the biggest cloche I have ever seen.  It is huge.  She also gave me the beautiful plants that I placed under it.

To show you how big this really is, I placed it over my church birdhouse.  Huge!!!

Now, how fun is this going to be to decorate with.  I can put half the house under it.

I have to tell you the story of this.  She recently made a trip to Italy, and while she was there she said she kept seeing these keychains hanging off of everyone's purse.  She went into a shop and told the lady she wanted one for her mother as a gift and the lady looked at her so astonished and said indignitantly "She doesn't have one already?"

Mink with a beautiful carved stone and chaines.  Now how spoiled am I?  Can't say I'm not in fashion, at least in Italy.

I can't wait to see what all you have to share for Table Top Tuesday - Anything Goes.  Mr. Linky will be up tomorrow afternoon.  Thanks so much for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits.

Holy Night Tablescape

We are hosting dinner for one of our Grandsons and his Fiance Thursday evening since they have several families to visit on Christmas Eve.  We are so blessed to have these two young people in our lives.

I've kept the table rather simple, however I wanted it to reflect the reason for the season.

My Church birdhouse sitting on a gold charger with white berries for the main centerpiece.

    An Angel is nearby.

Since there will be 5 for dinner, I've arranged my Nativity at the end of the table.

Gold chargers, white plate liner and gold dinner plate for the place setting.

Soft candlelight in amber candlestems and the mood is set.

I hope all of you have a Very Blessed Christmas with your family and friends.  God Bless.

I am linking to Susan @ Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
