54th Table Top Tuesday-Spring Cloche Party Reminder

Welcome to the 54th Table Top Tuesday. I so look forward to all of your wonderful vignettes.  I have a

    SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
I am on my way to Oregon to help take care of my grandson who was hurt in a skiing accident.  He broke both legs.  They put rods and pins in both legs and he is going to be fine.  My son just needs a little help taking care of him at home.  I will have limited time to make the rounds, however I will check in when I can.  I have a post scheduled for next week so the party will go on as usual.  I also have one scheduled for the Spring Cloche Party.  I look forward to visiting everyone when I get back.

                                                     OK, on with the party.

This vignette on the drop leaf table by my chair has been here for a while, so time to change it up.

Love my Rooster lamp I found at GW and the Honey Bunch book is one of my favorites.  The old doorknob is off of the farmhouse that I was born in.  A precious treasure.

I'm so in the mood for spring, so I thought I would change it out and add a few flowers.

I like to keep it really simple so there's plenty of room for a snack and something to drink.

My thrifty cache pot worked great for some garage sale lime colored hydrangeas.  The little brass apple I've had for years.

A decorating book that I'm re-reading and of course my reading glasses with a little bling.

Just a touch of sunshine to this corner.

Don't forget we're having a Spring Cloche Party on March 11th.  Click on my button on the sidebar for all the details, then grab the button for your sidebar and tell all your friends.  We always have so much fun.  I can't wait to see you there.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits and I love your comments.  Be sure to visit as many of the links as possible.  I know you will be inspired.

A Fun Day With Blogging Friends

A super fun day with Blogging Friends.  Yesterday I met Ceekay (on the right) of Thinkin' Of Home and Karen (on the left)  of
Some Days Are Diamonds at a really cute little Tea Room for lunch and shopping.

Karen and her hubby came over for the Nascar Races this weekend and we got to have a fun play day.  I forgot my camera.  How dumb is that.  Thank goodness CK had hers so I borrowed these pics from her blog.  So much fun to see friends and have a great girls day.

Isn't life sweet when you can spend time with friends.

A Frenchy Pig

Saturday a friend and I had a fun day shopping and lunch.  We made the rounds of several stores and of course I found some treasures.

I've been adding a little bit of yellow for spring to my kitchen, and trying to enhance the French Old World look.  I showed you this picture the other day of this side of the kitchen.

Then I showed you my new Butter Slab that I placed by the range.

This is the display on the island, but see in the background to the left side of the range.  It needs a new vignette. Now we do use the malt mixer all the time, but I can move it over by the coffee pot and find something pretty for this area.

As we made our way through the aisles at Home Goods, I just about squealed when I saw this.  A fabulous French Pig in the prettiest shade of yellow.  He's absolutely wonderful.  I had a 30% off coupon, so he had to come home with me.  He was originally $19.99 which I thought was really reasonable, but for $13.99 he's a bargain.

Of course we also stopped by GW and I found something there too.   A wonderful silver vase.

A little Tarn-X and it looked brand new.

Now I have a fun vignette for the other side of the range.  Since pigs love apples, I thought he should have the little apple box and a cute ribbon just for fun.  My napkin holder is also a pig.  Love my new Frenchy Pig.

    Much better don't you think!!!

High Tea

    High Tea Tablescapes

I am joining the lovely Laura at Decor To Adore for High Tea.  Life has been a little busy, so I am doing a repost of a Teascape I did last year.  I hope this counts.

We're serving Tea for three today.  I hope you enjoy your visit and refreshments.

A centerpiece of spring flowers and feathers.  I'm using a lace tablecloth with flowers also.

Please choose your teacup. We have three vintage ones to choose from.

I'll be glad to pour from the silver service. There's also lemon if you'd like.

Our dessert of White Chocolate Raspberry Cake is being served on a cutwork cakestand topped with a bird cloche.

An assortment of sandwiches are being served on a silver triple server, please try some of each. There's an assortment of fruit if you'd like.  The peaches and grapes are especially nice and sweet. Help yourself to some lemon water.

Our vintage plates are Grace China, made in Japan. Please help yourself and then let's visit. I'm so glad you joined me today

Thanks for stopping by, I had a great time. Please come again soon.

53rd Table Top Tuesday & A Winner

Welcome to the 53rd Table Top Tuesday.  I am so glad you joined us and I hope you visit all of the participants that link up.  You will be so inspired.

I have my computer on the buffet in the breakfast area.  It keeps me in the center of the action and I really like that.  I can watch TV, keep an eye on whatever I am cooking and blog all at the same time.  Only probem is I still want it to look nice.  I needed someplace to put a pad, pens and my Digital Camera and Flip Video Camera other than just sitting on the top of the table.  GW came thru again and I found this great little desk organizer.  It was $1.99.  Love it.

It's just the perfect size.  Love the old world map on the little slanted door and inside is the perfect size to hold both of the cameras.

Now isn't that much better than just a pile of paper, pens and cameras sitting all over the top of the table!!!

Ok, now for the good stuff.  Thank you all that entered my giveaway for the 3 candlesticks shown below, and thank you for all the new followers.  I am so glad to meet you newcomers.  I used the randome number thingy and the winner is # 45.  (Sorry, I just could not get the generator to show)

Congratulations Donna @ One Simple Country Girl.    Email me your address to astrollthrulife@live.com and I will get it mailed right out to you.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

What My House Really Looks Like

I always crack up when someone askes me if my house is ever a mess.  Now I admit that I am a little bit of a clean freak, but there are times when I just don't care.

This is what it looks like this weekend.  My Son and Grandson are making guitars and they are here using some of DH's tools.  So lots of wood all over the place, Nascar on the TV and tons of dust.  But look at the wonderful guitar that they've finished.  It's gorgeous.

The coffee table hasn't escaped either.  Lots of templates, tape measures, parts and snacks all over the place.  DH has his newspapers scattered all over also.

Father teaching Son and some precious shared moments.

Dad keeping a watchful eye to make sure it's right.

The kitchen island is of course the best place in the world to glue the pieces together.

Such a huge mess and I love it.  I can always clean it up, but I can never relive these precious moments watching them spending time together and having fun.   This has to be one of the biggest of God's Blessings.

Hope your day is Blessed too.
